We are experimenting with a new author policy on our lattice QCD papers involving a larger number of junior and senior members. Our current policy is:

• Junior members are ordered according to their contribution to a given research project;
  • An alphabetical ordering indicates equal contribution;
• Senior members then follow the junior members in alphabetical order;

For conference proceedings, the author’s are listed as speaker first, followed either by complete alphabetical ordering, or alphabetical ordering by institution (whichever fits on the cover page of the proceedings).

A junior member is one who does not yet have a tenure-track/tenure or equivalent job. If a member transitions from junior to senior during a project, or if the majority of the research was conducted while the member was junior, they will be listed with the junior authors.
